dodgy-alan 1,587
Been playing around with FSX, I'm starting to enjoy the format. Finally switched on the anti-aliasing late last night thanks to geoff telling me where it was hidden! Tell me, is it normal for VFR addon scenery to look somewhat flat when at ground level? I've only added one section so far and I'm not too sure about it. anyway here's what I did last night after the earlier C130 pics.Comments and tips welcome......
adrians69 159
Hi Alan, VFR scenery is flat as there is no autogen when using it. Just Flight have released Revolution X which adds autogen to VFR scenery. ORBx scenery uses the best of both worlds, with photo realistic, not photo, scenery and includes accurate autogen and terrain mesh. Adrian

Adrian I took the VFR scenery out again, it looked bloody awful to be honest. OK from 20'000 ft but useless down in the weeds, Just have to put up with the Yanks not knowing that we don't build tower blocks on the beaches! ...or indeed that we actually have beaches! I've just added some airfields and they have gone into the Addon scenery file, I tred to add them to the main scenery folder via the settings/scenery set up but for some reason it won't let me do it. Keeps telling me it can't find the folder? what am I doing wrong?

adrians69 159
Yes there is a little bug with FSX and Win 7 that does not close the scenery folder when you have selected it. Weird but the link will give you the work around. Adrian
