britfrog 180
when I was a kid I thought this plane was the K9 danglies , my father said that it wasnt that good and pointed out all its shortcomings (which lead to a very short service life) but I wasnt listening , As i aged and started flying I realised that my father was right it could not carry a bomb load plus enough fuel to go trans atlantic, but I still love this bird
hifly 925
Love those old corporate films, that was one of my pin up planes as a kid too and it still looks the biz.

allardjd 1,853
I used to hear them breaking the sound barrier almost every afternoon as I delivered newspapers after school. They were flying out of what is now Grissom AFB in Indiana, but was known as Bunker Hill AFB at the time. They had a big MOA up the length of Lake Michigan, probably over 200 NM long and far enough offshore to not break windows but near enough you could hear the sonic booms. We rarely saw one, but heard them all the time. They have a collection of Warbirds in an outside museum at the gate of the base and there is a B-58 there, looking like it's going 500 knots while it's standing still.
