time again to practice your x wind landings

Recommended Posts

the tramontana is blowing again at up to 60 knots or more over the next 4 days at LFMP so an ideal time to see if your weather prog works correctly. I have used both FSGRW and Rex this morning  with my 210 and found the wind was pushing me backwards on the runway !

Outa sight!

The "Crash 8" is not known for its resistance to shearing off the gear.

Might be better just to land ACROSS the runway and make a slow speed turn at the end of the rollout. (Can't post smilies on the iPad but you all get the idea).

Punch line of an old, old aviation joke - - - "Yeah, but it sure is wide."

  • 1 month later...

well two weeks ago we had 140 m.p.h. on the coast and today LFMP is predicting 60+ knots so another great day for crosswinds or hovering exercises.

i must say it was entertaining walking the dogs this morning, +3 degrees and blowing a hoolie
