donnybalonny 46
So, now the Aerosoft CRJ 700 preview has reached the 100+ pages. It started in 2010 and the AC has now reached beta testing. I like flying jets, but normally less than 500Nm and I´m very interested in this one so once in a while i take a look on the preview thread. The few Aerosoft AC that i have have been used a lot and I generally like their addons (also scenery) The thread is a prime example of the flightsim community. You have everyone there from the loyal aerosoft costumer who is saying "take your time" over the total nickpicker wanting every little detail (color of seats etc.) to be 100% right and you have the impatient costumer getting angry because aerosoft hasnt released the product yet (yet, yet 4 years ) Link to thread page 101. http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/33966-aerosoft-da-crj-preview/page-
hurricanemk1c 195
Not quite the same, but the IL-2: 1946 version 4.13 feedback topic is 119 pages (be warned - quite bright!) - http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=40958&page=
Andrew Godden 943
Some flight sim aircraft and scenery developers are small, one person operations, and often it is a hobby, not a full time business. Being a hobby, they are often meticulous with their work and this takes time. Companies like Aerosoft "sponsor" them and provide a publishing and distribution channel for their work when it is complete. Meticulous as some of them are, and like most authors, they will not be rushed in the interests of commercial publishing deadlines. As the famed author George R. R. Martin says, "(it) will be done when it's done.".
donnybalonny 46
Yes, and its good it is so. We live in a world where we think we can get everything now if we have the money. I think it is or was Digital aviation that is making this addon. It has been trashed at least one time. But it looks like it will come out, maybe, this year. The most interesting part of the thread is how it changes over time and how some people react to the way things are comming out. I have only read small parts of it over the last year and a half, but sometimes it goes really berserk.
