Every time you shut down your computer system restore takes a snapsot of any changes made and stores the changes. So you are already using it. It is part of windows.. I do not not use system restore because I don't know how to, but because I choose not to. I rely on an image I create of a working system. However I hadn't made a backup of my image and my NAS crashed. So that would be a consideration to start using system restore, unfortunately I've had bad experiences with it. Btw, as far as I know, windows does not take a snapshot of its system files with system restore disabled. Link to post Share on other sites
