You know I'm a dreadful pedant (Really? Ed) - but I was looking for a video of Quantum Jump's 'Lone Ranger' song - the one with the Aborigine chorus (sic)..... So, I Googled and found this 'fan made video of the 1981 movie' - available here:

What amused me, though, was this particular bit, where Tonto and Kemo Sabe are tearing across the prairie with, yes, you guessed, a lovely set of contrails in the sky behind them:

Hence the post title: What flight we catchin', Tonto?

Anyway, back to sleep now ...... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!

They would most likely be contrails but surely Tonto would have pointed that out to the producer being a man of the great out doors!

There is a possibility that they could be a form of Altocumulus Lenticularis
