flying club warrior paint problem

Recommended Posts

i have recently repainted a warrior in a new colour scheme. i have put the new texture files into a new texture folder and gave it a name and then configured the aircraft CFG to display the new texture. my problem is that when i go to select the texture in flightsim, flightsim just crashes to the desktop.

PS:if we have any repainters that are willing to do a paint job on the warrior for flying club then please let me know as my skills arnt very good.

Hi

If you mail them to admin [@] mutleyshangar.com

I will see if they work on mine. Could you also include the entry you are using for the aircraft.cfg file. Finally is it FS9 or FSX?

Cheers

Hi Gareth

Texture received. I'm on my lappy at the moment so can't fire it up on my FS PC until tomorrow.

One observation though, I can view these textures straight off which is unusual, have they been converted using DXTBmp yet?

cheers

Just as an experiment, load all the bmp files back into DXTBmp and resave as DXT3 type textures, you probably won't see any difference in quality. I would have said these textures have not been converted.

If that doesn't work Gareth I am more than happy to work on them in the morning if you can wait?

Cheers

Sorry to break this advice helpline up, but may I ask something about repainting?

Here's the problems :

Got the IFDG 767-300

Got the textures, changed the white to Northwest sliver

Change the two sides on which I have changed the white in DXTBmp.

Aircraft shows up, but only the tail where I've not changed it

Thanks in advance

Kieran

sorry to go back off you helpline hurricane :poster_oops:

note to joe: all textures are now working fine. the shineys were caused due to me accidently running the same texture twice through the converter. all is looking well and will get some shots soon. ive also edited some of it due to the reg being a bit off shot. thanks again for your help joe!    :thumb:
