First build of 2016, Harrier with a twist.

Recommended Posts

Hawker Harrier GR1. German Air Force, 1967. Airfix 1/72 scale.

The German Air Force never actually operated this aircraft. They took part in the HS Kestrel trials with the Tripartite Squadron( comprising of UK, US and German pilots) at RAF West Raynham in the early 1960s, however following this they decided not to take up the option of acquiring the aircraft. This model represents what the Harrier may have looked like in German service.

Nice one Alan.

Great looking airplane. And a well named one. It more than most jets looks very Falconesque from some angles.

Add a fan tail to that model, paint feathers on it, and zoom it by really fast and it would fool they eye to think it was a small hawk.
