Flying the Metroliner in the frigid North.

Recommended Posts

Taking a cue from adrians69, I flew a scheduled flight in the Metroliner III. I selected the Perimiter Aviation livery and flew from Island Lake, Ontario to God's River, Ontario.
It was a short 62 NM hop with a combi of passenger and cargo. Man it was cold! And I do mean cold! -7f so we had the cabin heat, pitot heat, windhshield heat and de-fog but no need for the de-icing boots as there was no precipitation. But we kept an eye on it  anyway.

Block Off to Block On time was 50 minutes.

Takeoff to Touchdown time was 31 minutes.

We arrived safely.  Thank you for asking. I think next time I'll find a warmer climate!
Loaded up and engines running. Ready for taxi.

Nice Richard, I really enjoyed my flight in the Metro as did you it seems. Nice and easy to fly even though it has no autopilot. (I know one is modelled in this version, but the real aircraft does not have one so I didn't use it)

Great pics of a good trip. Thanks for sharing :thum:
