mutley 4,498
I've had the Piaggio P180 in the hangar for a couple of weeks without the chance to fly it. So I thought I would put that right this afternoon with a pleasure flight out of Malpensa and around some lakes. An unusual aircraft for sure but surprisingly fast and agile, only the Italians could come up with this unique style! The Frecce Tricolori livery seemed apt. I happened to take a recording of the first flight so had some fun with the Eurofighter in the same livery. Hope you enjoy this little set. Cheers

allardjd 1,853
Mut, Great livery, beautiful shots. I have the Piaggio too and really enjoy flying it. It has about the same range and payload capacity as the PC-12 but is over half again as fast - almost Learjet fast. You're right about the design - absolutely unique. Though it looks a little like the Beech Starship or the abortive Lear Fan, structurally and aerodynamically it's quite different. All three of the surfaces, wing, horizontal stabilizer and canard, provide positive lift, making it very efficient. In most AC the horizontal stab must produce negative lift, an inherent efficiency killer. Also, the fuselage is airfoil- shaped and actually produces about 20% of the lift in cruise flight, according to the manufacturer. Anyway, great shots. The Typhoon was a nice bonus. Did you do the liveries or did you download them from somewhere? John
mutley 4,498
Hi John, I really enjoyed flying her this first time, I still need to familiarise with the avionics but she's a beauty! Both repaints came from the relative publishers. Good to have you back by the way. Cheers
rosariomanzo 545
Fantastic shots! Mut, if you like flying around Milan or Italy, you should take a look at the ISD Project freeware sceneries. Sadly, ISD has closed, but you can still find them on AVSIM. Ciao!
