Looks good, I've never yet figured out how multi-player works on any of the sims.  I've seen it done, as here, but no idea how.

Go download 'FSCloud' and then run FSX - Then once FSX is up and running, open FSCloud and it will ask you for a callsign - enter anything in here like 'AlanTheGreat' and connect - done :)

You can click the map and see who else is around too - this is less formal than things like VATSIM and IVAO, but it's good to give you some traffic every now and then.

By the way, how do you experience the update rates in FsCloud?

I seem to recall testing it about a year ago and found that I had a rather severe delay of about 1 minute of where I saw others compared to where they were on their computer at the time...

Not sure to be honest - in the sim it was quite smooth, the only thing that was doing my head in was the draw distance was too far away.

For a bit of fun it was OK, but VATSIM is better imo, but you have the rules to follow on VATSIM. It was good testing my GTN 750 traffic alerts though :D

Well I loaded the FSCloud thing, some sort of menus came up, my callsign came up on the right. I saw a green bar telling me that someone in the USA was talking to someone else but I couldn't hear the conversation. I had no idea what I was supposed to do, how I was supposed to contact someone else. Went to the tutorial page , that had some guy speaking and supposedly showing me something on the screen, however all I could see was a blank page. I gave up and switched it off. Just went back to the usual way I do things. Gave up, went home and drank cider! That worked perfectly!

Haha nice alan - I'm not sure about communicating with FSCloud as I never used it to talk to. I think if you want to talk to someone you both tune your radios to the same frequency - this also means anyone else on same frequency can join in. FSCloud frequency thing it doesn't matter how far away you are either I don't think.

I just use it to have some traffic rather than talking - I use a Discord server to chat to people.

If you have FSCloud connected and you go to an airport with traffic (look at the map) you should see the other planes.

If you only see landing lights and not the plane I have a tweak that can help.

Good luck - now I want cider lol - it's 07:31 ffs!
