Captain Coffee 2,030 Posted October 16, 2016 Report Share Posted October 16, 2016 An Air Taxi Mission from Air Hauler 2: aprox 180 miles from the North Bay area down to Bakersfield, Ca. 2 well paying pax needed a very early arrival to a small regional airport, in a hurry, not the kind of flight you can easily book on cheeptix.com...but can easilly arrange via many willing and able AirHaulers around the globe. We had to leave well before first light, so take up the trip after getting aloft at first "Moon", in anticipation of maybe seeing a nice sunrise set against a rather sullen and soggy skyscape all over the west coast this weekend...shades and shadows of a storm system of the century pounding the heck out of Oregon and Washington. Moonlight Blush of Skylight Bit lighter on this side as a result Having to punch through some clouds during our gradual descent, IFR of course. A hint of sunlight. Clouded orb pears at us with difficulty above the distant hills. Pax are satisfied, it's a gorgeous morning. Final descent into Bakersfield. Have the runway in sight for Visual Landing. No ILS here, nor required...and the pax are quite satisfied thus far, as we are Waaaay ahead of their deadline time.
