My two favorite types of Diesel are Irish Rail Class 071 and BR Class 55 Deltic. Electric is Class 87. Have a look at You Tube for all others bar the 071. Class 071 Class 55 - Search 'Class 55 Deltic Trash' DON'T GO TO ANY RAIL SIMULATOR ONES! East German 52-8s have to be the best I've seen in action though, closely followed by Great Western 'Halls', Southern 'Bulleid's' and LMS 'Dutchesses'. See my 'Plandampf Werratal 2008' post for 52-8 pictures. Diesel: The English (Well, American built, and now in use in Europe but hey...) 66's have nice lines, but my all time favorite diesel has to be the French 66 (Completely unrelated to the English, and about 30 years older!). Best seen working in pairs on freight trains through rural France. Electric: Again, there could be many here. Good old French 13/14 000 'Alligators', Swiss Be/Ce 6/8 'Krokodil'... But my favorite have to be Swiss, Re and Ae 6/6s. Re 6/6s were at one time the most powerful locomotives in the world!. Link to post Share on other sites
