wain 879
so I got this as a free download just for XP11, its by the people who did my glider....its a bit weird looking and when you open the throttle all I got her to do was spin...made me dizzy..tried all different ways to keep her straight but just didnt want to happen...wheels or land on the water but apparently that is quite a difficult one to do......very slow sedate speed and all hands on, nice for low level stuff....just a few shots.... loaded up and ready... strange shape... different angle... view of the right hand seat... heading back... I also picked this one up for $20, not tried it yet, tires, floats or skis......some good reviews of this and idea for low level site seeing...
Captain Coffee 2,030
Cool looking birdie. Reminds me of a couple oddity Electric planes by Lionheart. Looks like you managed to spin it airborne at least. It doesn't look slow and sedate...would expect something that streamlined to be a bit quicker. And that is a mighty fine looking Beaver in that bottom shot. Always a good workhorse to have in a hangar.
dodgy-alan 1,587
I've got the Akoya as well but not flown it yet. I'll have to look out for that spin.

wain 879
Matt it felt slow, green line at about 140, just never felt that quick....
Captain Coffee 2,030
Have to say, that thing doesn't look like it would be very stable in the water. The bottom skegs may help stability on landing and while skimming along at some speed, but once it slows or stops it should flop over onto one wing, neither of which appear to have any flotation for the purpose. Give it a wet run and let us know how it fares or flips. (Or does the "floatplane" require external floats? ugh...that would kill any performance if so...). I will give it try if I get time...I have read that people stuggle to land it....
wain 879
just a couple of shots landing on the water, it was very straight forward but once I had landed the aircraft was bobbing up and down a lot, it was actually easier than I thought to land and the takeoff was quite smooth to, those 2 arms act like hydrofoils and lift you out of the water....
