mutley 4,498
The news on every flight sim news site, Twitter feed and Facebook is that the Flight Sim Store has stopped responding to support requests and contact from developers with updates to their software, so have dropped any contact with the outside world. Some developers have stopped dealing with them, but FSS keep on taking orders, and as far as I know delivering files. Adrian Lehmann, the owner of FSS has been uncharacteristically quiet of late but we at Mutley's are not in the business of building a tidal wave of unfounded emotions and knee-jerk reactions so we wait and see what response FSS have to the claims. Another related site, also administered by Jay Kae, fsfiles.org, and aussiex.org have been down for a long time reporting they have been hacked, things are not looking very healthy down under. Orbx, however, took control of their servers and delivery to customers some while ago and FTX Central, developed by Ben McClintock, is the best product interface in the business,
needles 1,013
Well I for one hope that everything is going to be ok for FFS and any others in the flight sim community. We need all the outlets available, so hoping all will be well.
dogtrack 346
Been aware of some problems for some folk; with regard to FSS. I however, was notified a couple of weeks ago about an update to Ant's Drifter (v2). The subsequent download was obtained without any problem, from my account....go figure !! That said I have not made any purchases from said store, since transferring all my ORBX products.
