vacs007 0
Firstly all I must apologise for the delays in getting this leg completed, but as the old saying goes "Life is what happens when you are making plans". So I am trying to force my time to get this leg completed. Anyway here is part 3 of Leg 19, which takes the baton from FQPB (Mozambique) to FMNN (Fascene Island) just off the north west coast of Madagascar. After arriving in Pemba (FQPB) we where informed that we where to leave the PC12 there and switch to a new plane which we need to ferry to the Seychelles. So who am I to arrgue, I accept this willingly. I figure a nice long and straight as the crow flies flight over a lot of water, nice time to learn a new AC, and What a beaut she is. So CP and I grab our kit and load it into the Piper, it is a ferry flight, so we are flying empty and the most important passenger is onboard, the ATWC Baton. Weather on route, cloudy and wet, this leg can be reclassified as voyage and CP should be renamed to Shipmate, every part of this leg has been dogged with rain. OK CP everything loaded, all closed up, are we ready to fire her up, 'aye aye cap'n' Up we go, gear up please. Engage AP, set HDG and ALT. Well this is the view for the next hour and 30 mins, Blue on top and blue below, oh and lots of white all around, so CP and I settle in, got comfortable. OK enough blue and white, lets get a view of some other interesting parts of our flight. The Cabin of this beauty Wing view from my seat. The office P.S. this shot make for a awsome desktop. At last some sun light glinting of the ocean. Back to the blue and white all around Ahhh, land ahoy cap'n On final appraoch for rwy 5 at FMNN My pet peeve, a 'Go around' Almost down Parked up. Well there we have it, the baton has moved on, one more part of this leg and it will have arrived at it's nest hand over point. I hope you guys enjoyed this part. Lets see what happens on the next. Couldn't see the but I am sure you have it safe! Looking forward to the final sector, I know CCA330 is in the Seychelles ready and has a wonderful tan! Cheers
