CyprusAirwaysA330 0
Welcome to the last leg of Section II of the ATWC II. Its great once again to be flying once again a leg for the challenger, though this one is a simple hop, not a three parter like my previous one. After my two weeks of sun in the Seychelles, it was time to meet Wayne at the bar. (And ditch the lovely ATWC fans onto him ! ). The baton duly handed over, along with the buying of drinks (soft one for me as I was flying!), it was time to fly. The flightplan, showing how easy this hop will be after Wayne's amazing trip across Africa. Our lovely 767 at the gate, some of you may have spied it in one of Wayne's shots. Pushing back out of a foggy Seychelles. I'm a bit sad of leaving the place, but looking forward to the Maldives. Taxiing out, this is a small airport so it took no time at all. At the holding point, it really is murky for what is meant to be a summers afternoon. My view as we turn onto the runway. Powerrr!! And liftoff into the murk, I wonder if Wayne is watching from the hill? Rocketing away. Out of the cloud and climbing into the sun. Lovely reflections over the Indian Ocean. Nearly finished climbing. Cruising. And the other side. If only 767s had fancy tail cameras The tail of S7-ASY. Commencing the descent. Down, down, down.... Speedbrakes! Nearly there... Gear and flaps down, all green. On finals, slightly low but no worries. Flaring. Touchdown. Touchdown rate was -1ft/min so extremly smooth. :atwc: Braking sharply. Parked next to an EK 773. There aren't many 777-300s so happy to have seen one. All shutdown. Well, thanks for looking guys. It's been good to fly for the ATWC and I look forward to flying in the next installments. Thanks for the challenge Boss, without you it just wouldn't work. Now, I'm off to the beach in the Maldives hoping the weather will lift.

Thanks for getting our second section finished in fine style, enjoy the beach. Keep an eye out for the announcement of section 3 soon Cheers

vacs007 0
CAA330, awsome post. Yea I was up on the hill waving you off, with a couple of those ATWC addoring fans waving alongside me, we really enjoyed watching you take off, it was an awsome display of power and grace, well done mate you kept the flag flying high for ATWC, you really showed the locals what ATWC is all about, all they wanted to do the rest of the day was ask me questions about ATWC and our adventures. I was planning to fly out after you and meet up with you in the Maldives, but looking at the weather there, it looks no better than here in the Seychelles, so I will ground myself for a few days. Well done mate
