Well I'm not allowed to have my shed up the top of the garden, Mrs Mutley says she doesn't see enough of me now!

So what I like to do is look at other peoples sheds! And yes!, it's that time again for "Shed of the year"!

This is my shed Mut! :wink:

I built it all my self from the tiniest scrap or wood and every nail and screw. :mrhappy: Trouble is… like most of the DIY jobs I do it cost me double the price than if I’d bought it from B&Q. :sadblinky:

This is a close up of the design changes Scratchy made with his powerful claws. :-)

Don't be too harsh, it was a total DIY job not one of the nail the panel together jobs, and it is many years old now and a bit dilapidated. :sleep:

Nice shed, I will have to post a shot of mine (er herm Mrs Mutley's) Shed

I added a built-in a fill-in lean to with an old pallet and materials B&Q where chucking out from a local store re-fit!

Here we are taken just before lunch

The shed, newly re-felted by me, probably hasn't go that long to go as the foundations are going on the far side.

The lean-to, with the floor made from a pallet and other bits reused from a dump outside B&Q.

Birds eye view! The Black sunflower seeds are the dish of the day!

This is where we have our "sundowners" a nice little secluded round patio.

Work in Progress. This is where the old fish pond was, soon to be placed with a much bigger one.

Sorry to all the young ones but us old folk do like to talk about our sheds!

What a fantastic garden Mut. I'm afraid mine is a right mess.

Due to the financial difficulties we've had, the cause of which you will remember from my email, I've not had much money to spend on the garden.

As I said, I need to relay my patio and there’s some work needed in the front garden.

Should be a nice fishpond, you should see mine; it's about 75 metres across. :wink: Actually it's about ten paces from my front garden, we have a large pond/small lake. We get herons, geese, woodpeckers and some very weird pond insects in the summer, some very colourful dragonflies in the garden. Not to mention the water rats that are fond of the place. At the moment there's some people feeding the goslings. I'll try and get some pictures when I get round to it.

I think I'll need a new shed soon, my home made versions about 15 years old, the preservative I slapped on makes it look a bit younger but the doors are rotten and the floor has seen better days.

Not my best woodwork project, for that you would need to see my writing bureau. :mrhappy:

Thanks Martin,

A few people will know that Mrs Mutley is a very keen gardener so most of what you see is a result of 10 years hard labour.

When we moved all we had was a scraggy old lawn with no patios or plants. A lot of our plants were brought from car boot sales and have matured nicely.

It's not to every ones taste but we like it. I understand what you mean about the cost and time involved.. And of course you have to mind out for your back :mrhappy:

But you have the most important element Mart, the shed!

No I'm house-trained to use the inside toilet!

We have a few of those stumps, quite handy as a resting place for a bottle of Bud or Pims!

Now then, Joe, are you ready for this? These are our sheds, here at Shortlands:

I took this from the captain's seat of an old SA/BA Bulldog that is currently at Haverfordwest Intnl (EGFE). Hope you like them - plenty more if you want (yawn.......) :yes:

This is the Allard shed… It is 36 X 30. There are rollup doors front and back. It has a concrete floor and

includes a porcelain convenience (small window, far right). The upstairs is a finished, air conditioned

apartment, our guest house, very handy for when our daughter, son-in-law and the two grand-pups

(cocker spaniels) visit. The only disadvantage of staying in the apartment is the old poop downstairs making

all that racket.

We've got air-conditioning in our sheds too - but that's because of the gaps above the steel doors...... :!: Pam decorated the 'lambing' shed for my *0-th, last year - great idea.
