mutley 4,498
A video showing WIP for this scenery from a seagulls point of view. [es]DNT1qswt47E[/es] Points to note from Darren: 1: As always, anything we show unless otherwise stated is considered work in progress. Comments are always welcomed and are encouraged, good or bad ...but please bear this WIP status in mind. 2: Enhanced terrain mesh is not shown for reasons stated above. Neither are some 3d models that are waiting for the terrain mesh to be finalized before they can be added. 3:The film was captured using Fraps, but I haven't bothered to edit it at all this time, so it's just a straight forward capture from within FSX with no frills. Just as it comes. More info here: http://earthsimulations.com Enjoy

rob16584 42
Nice video Joe and awesome looking scenery. Is the video one of your creations?
mutley 4,498
Hi Rob, This is from Darren's fair hands! It is not edited or enhanced in any way, the sound is from flight sim. The autogen and the soundscaping is switchable, the underlying scenery is just fabulous, Darren is just waiting for new raw terrain data from Intermap which will finish the product off nicely. Of course, not everyone's cup of tea but with the various levels of immersion there should be something for everyone, especially Soya!!
needles 1,013
Hi Joe, I am now back from a hair raising journey south for a week staying with our son, his wife and our 2 grandchildren for the New Year celebrations. Driving from Inverness down to RAF Wittering (Peterborough) was, to say the least an unpleasant experience but the journey back on Saturday/Sunday was horrific. Up the A1 across the A66 (just) and up the M74 and A9 were absolutely terrible conditions. Back safe but to a flooded front porch as the roof decided to give under the weight of snow and ice which had gathered. Ah well at least the PC is still working. ***HAPPY NEW YEAR*** to you and all the crew at Mutley HQ and to all members. Can't wait for the finished Scilly Isles project as it's looking great already. As I am a GA sort of guy I like these sort of scnery add-ons. Hurry up guys, I'm waiting. Regards to all. Needles
ddavid 149
Got to hand it to Darren, the detail is incredible - and the new mesh will make it even better. Will there be seasons, like Alderney? If so, the result will be virtually lifelike. Well done Darren and everyone who's worked on it. B) Now, you're thinking, where's the 'but'? Only a tiny morsel of a niggle: I'm not sure if John Deere will be happy with this as their newly developed Combine-Baler isn't to be announced until later this year.... Oh yes, and a Happy New Year to everyone.... (Oh Gawd, he's back! - Ed). Cheers - Dai.
mutley 4,498
Hello Dai, I thought you would like that part! It works out at about 700Mb per season (x 5 seasons) It is anticipated that the software will be available as a one season (summer) download inc night textures, custom 3d autogen and the soundscape technology, that accounts for 1 Gb. Or a DVD with all five seasons and the above plus season aware autogen and season al aware sounds. Anyone purchasing the download version then realising they want all teh seasons will be able to upgrade for
