Aircraft Aviation 2
Good review Dai, I remember my first review, a little bit nervous but overall very happy! Shame about the score, but glad you gave it what it deserved! Jack
hurricanemk1c 195
'"That was bl**dy dangerous!", spoken by the bomb-aimer after a particularly low pass through the Derbyshire Dales.' I thought that was spoken by Gibbie's rear gunner, but never mind! Good review - well done!
allardjd 1,853
Dai, Congratulations - very, very well written and presented. If you hadn't mentioned that this was a first-time-out review for you, no one would know it from reading the article. It's very well written, organized and laid out. The images are terrific. I consider you an authority on the Lancaster and its history, so for FCS to have come this close to satisfying you entirely says a lot about the product. I note that in the bomb bay photo with the Cookie, the two bombs just forward of it appear to be smaller than the other six - could this be six 750 pounders and two 500s? With respect to the intended recipient, that's perhaps appetizers, main course and dessert, though I guess the Cookie would be the real main course. The Grand Slam bomb is just awesome. The lifting capability of the Lanc and those Merlins just boggles the mind and that photo really brings it home. I had an opportunity to see one close up at an airshow many years ago - even walked under it. The length and width of that bomb bay is simply enormous, though quite shallow. In any case, congratulations again on a great first review and I look forward to reading much more from you in te future. John

mutley 4,498
Unfortunately the publisher did not agree with the findings of this review even though it was very much pro the product. They challenged several points raised in the review which I looked into and upheld its veracity. The outcome was First Class Simulations asked for this review to be removed from view. As they supplied the review copy I agreed. At Mutley's we are proudly independent and not swayed by advertising revenues, we believe our reviews tell it as it is. My apologies to everyone involved, particularly "ddavid" who took the time and trouble to review it. Thanks, Joe
