hurricanemk1c 195
Hi all! Sorry I'm late, flaming FSX kept on crashing Anyway, to save our valiant friend Dai, I took the 'Baton' (loo roll painted blue) to Yongphulla. Ironically, in a blue aircraft! The Harrier, but not allowed the have VTOL - under the rules! Cockpit Lift off! Gear up Clean Shooting away - I'll be back! Trailing at about FL150 Mountains Some cruise shots Time for aerobatics Then FSX crashed. Reloading at VQ10, I took off and tried to complete my mission Flying past a village, presume Yongphulla Low fly-past! Eeek! The view of the airfield Then Hmm, can't be bother to try and reload and try again, so. 'Yongphulla Tower, Fly Navy 2 declares Mayday. Large explosion. Controls rattling. Shall eject over the airfield'
remingtonbox 18
Well.... looks like I better back the Knighthawk out of the hanger and start looking. Did you make it to the airfield after ejecting? Nice shots otherwise... where is the Harrier from?

ddavid 149
Well done, Kieran - thanks for getting the Baton to VQ10 - an extreme finish if ever there was one, eh?!? That's a nice model, too - a good choice. Pity about FSX playing up, but your tenacity showed through.... Cheers - Dai.
hurricanemk1c 195
Thought about the Hawk, but went for the Harrier!
mutley 4,495
Shame about the FSX crash and your emergency exit from the aircraft but she looked great in the early shots. You obviously went to great efforts to get us there well done!
needles 1,011
I have just been handed a very bent baton from a very bruised and battered Kieran. It will have to spend the next day or so in the de-crumpling workshop. When I get it back I will take off for Machuka. I trust the RAF techies and believe they will have the baton looking as good as new. Well done Kieran get yourself off to the medic for a thorough checkup then off o the bar for a well earned pint. If you ask Mut' or Dai nicely I'm sure they will stand the first round. :nea:
hurricanemk1c 195
I'll get a lift back to Lukla and see Dai! Then he can buy a round!
needles 1,011
Good Luck buddy. Watch out for Himalayan bandits along the way, they will rob you of everything you have. Enjoy the beer when you get there.
