mutley 4,498
Shoreham Airfield EGKA aka Mutley Field 2! Spent a nice morning chatting to the Flight 1 guys who were hosting a small FS openday. Sat on the terrace just watching the mornings activities pass by, there was some one going for a flight experience in a Tiger Moth (The same one I will be going up in) Piper Meridian making a nice noise A Harvard that made a much better noise! These look as thought they haven't flown for a while judging by the grass. Tiger Moth rolls in. Harvard departs to parking space Strapping in the next victim! Yakovlev Yak-52, just landed and taxiing in Swing that prop. Have a great flight Sorry, not much to see but it was nice to watch whilst having a coffee and a bun! Hello Dai, Yes they were both there and showing teh 206 against Darren's Isles of Scilly. This years goody bag was the latest PC Pilot and boxed MiG-15. The best thing though was all F1 boxed software was half price! I could have bought several titles believe me but managed not to give way as I didn't really need anything! allardjd 1,853
You had your own name for the A-20 Havoc too - Boston. However, credit where credit is due - the P-51 is known today as the Mustang, not because that's what North American and the Americans wanted it to be called, but because that was the name the British applied to it. Obviously it was a good fit and it stuck - the rest is history. John
