CaptHill 0 Posted August 21, 2010 Report Share Posted August 21, 2010 Using the PIC 737 how do I measure a specific NM distance from a waypoint? Do i use the DME equipment? I'm trying to fly the end of a STAR where it reads leave TRN waypoint, fly heading 345 degrees for 17NM then turn left to intercept localiser. SEATAC 400 Posted August 21, 2010 Report Share Posted August 21, 2010 Yes, DME is what you should use. If you have the STAR programmed in your GPS you can use that also, but DME is what is generally used. If you have a copy of PC Pilot, the tutotials by Bill Stack explain this procedure quite well.
