wingit 0
Can anyone advise is fsx better installed on an independant drive to the operating system? and is the scenery better off installed on the same drive or a different drive? regards
Aidan 1
Well to install add-ons you need it on the same hard drive. An 300GB SSD dedicated to FSX is more than enough, but im running everything together on a 800gb ata hdd and its fine. The choice is yours though.
mutley 4,498
Hi Wingit, To be honest I don't think you will notice the difference, beefing up the CPU is the most effective way to increase speed. I have most of my FSX install on my C: drive with my OS, disk transfer rate is pretty high as I have a Velociraptor drive, SSD would be slightly faster. With these speeds, again, I don't think you will see much difference. Regards, Mut
