ATWC 038 - Mount Pleasant (EGYP) to Santiago (SCEL)

Recommended Posts

Hi all and welcome to this leg of the ATWC III!

Now, here at the frozen Falkland Islands, an airstrip exists. Built by the British, captured by the Argentinans, bombed by the British and liberated by the British, Mount Stanley (RAF Mount Pleasant) sits on East Falkland.

A PC-6 sits on the tarmac, while an aircraft indentifying itself as 'Air Force 21' arrives in the early morning.

But in the morning, a bright yellow and red aircraft sits on the tarmac

To get this DHL 767 to go into EGYP, a lot of string pulling and payments had to be made. So, the old Mutley's Hangar plastic came out :

And a grand total of £100,000 was spent. I'll work it off Joe!

Great work Kieran, we can always count on you to deliver the goods!

How come the Boss has never given me the plastic, eh?

Those Andes are high, right Kieran?!? Glad you caught the ILS..... :whis:

Cheers - Dai.

I thought you had this one Dai?

(Took me ages to find this, Sept 2005 it was posted!)

Mind you, it is out of date, expired 08/08 and made out to Matt "Airbus", is he still around? :thum:
