JD_LincsUK 0
Hi Peeps, here's a number of pics from my latest hauling venture in PNG, using the Bush Pilot and Trekker scenery from PIS. Most are self-explanatory and all have been resized to 1024xxx

JD_LincsUK 0
Thanx, guys :001_th_smiles89: Yeah, some of those strips are really difficult to spot, even with GPS help. It has been a lot of fun, though. I did damage the undercarriage on the ATR72 on my first landing on the mountain - it slopes upwards, so getting the right angle is very important. A lot of the strips are like that - and some are bumpy, too. The ATR is the Flight 1 ATR72-500. I like it - but I don't touch the FMC, I just dial in the navaid frequencies (fortunately there are a lot) and follow the pointers. Sometimes they are out of range, so I follow the heading in the FSX flight plan until the needle starts twitching. It's a very fun way to fly - then the challenge of getting it into the strip, too. A lot of them don't have any length information, which adds another bit of spice to the whole experience. I started in career mode and sold the C172 straight away and bought the Carenado C185F - which is very well suited to this kind of flying. Now I bought a Kodiak amphib to try some of the water 'strips' too. JD btw - I'm based at AYMD - Madang, and I trimmed all the imported aircraft ranges so I'd get the local strips (with the distance setting in AH all the way to the left).
