mutley 4,497
Well I couldn't find Elliot Island without the flt plan loaded from Dai's excellent shots I thought I would just be able to dial her up! Obviously I am missing some serious scenery, I wonder if the gear will take it but I knew as the tail rose and with the fast approaching ridge ahead I would be up in no time Timer start, up we go.. Leaving the blob behind About 172 Nm to go, I hope this rain stops. Lots of sea and not much else. Back over the mainland. Watching my altitude as I prepare for landing Downwind for runway 14, the advisory was there were right hand circuits in action due to military action nearby Turning Final She's a goodun! Taking note of the time 68 minutes 45 Sec. Having re-filled and asked ASE for RW weather I am much happier now! Loads of runway compared with Lady Elliot so gently does it Remember, right hand circuit/departure, I have to do a 180 to get back on course for YBHM Not soon and we are back out to sea cutting across the bays. Lots of islands.. With lovely sands, I think a bottle of Bundy is calling when we have landed! Checking out Robs handywork! Runway ahead. Lined up, straight in. I don't trust these lights? Over the threshold Time stopped at 59:53 seconds, under an hour! :dance2: We had to use the whole length of the runway, the wind was (And is) gusting al over the place. St Parked up writing this PIREP Ok that's: Sector 1 67:45 Sector 2 59:53 =============================== Total 127 minutes 38 Seconds =============================== Cheers, Joe

mutley 4,497
I thought you had bull-dozed the island Dai, as a sort of ...Joke?!! I am really liking your screen shots :icon_bowdown:
ddavid 149
I borrowed the 'dozer and some scenery from Flightsim.com. Andrew has the details here. Unfortunately, the file size, at 54 MB, is rather high, but it's excellent stuff - as you can see! This was at Bundaberg - I think you were keen to get to the bar?!? Cheers - Dai. P.S. Still the same old shorts, though!!

Tim_A 997
Getting ready to leave Lady Elliot And we're off! In search of the mainland Final for the refuelling stop at Williamson (YWIS) Done refuelling, and we're off again. Into the Whitsundays Too busy looking at the scenery -- I'm way too high over Hamilton Island, so get ready for a Chop&Drop descent... Fortunately, the TwinPin displays many of the characteristics of a rock when not under power! Final
mutley 4,497
Nice work Tim. it looks as though I was seriously lacking in the Lady Elliot Island scenery, I've got Ant's airfields (Now!) Cheers
