Hi Guys,

It's that time of year again.

My son is in the RAF based at RAF Wittering.

He has been tasked with organising this years Banger Run taking place in September this year, in aid of 'Help for Heroes'.

Last year there were 15 teams and they raised around £20,000 for the cause.

The event which is NOT a race is open to anyone as long as the rules are adhered to.

If you would like to either, take part or sponsor the teams that are going, then please follow the link below and get in touch with Paul, my son. He would be delighted to hear from you.

Thanks for reading and/or doing what you can to help.

All information is on the website at::

Cheers

we've got a team together and entered from Brize for this absolutely deserving cause Brian. We entered last year and i think raised something like 8 or 9 grand...lots of H4H events being organised by myself and our squadron charities committee.

Update from my Son Paul.

The 25 cars made it around the Banger Run circuit in Europe and so far the joint effort has raised in excess of £25,000 which will go to 'Help for Heroes'.

A big 'WELL DONE' to all the participants for getting around the route in one piece and raising so much needed cash for such a worthy cause.

I will post more pics when Paul has sent them to me but here is Paul with his Banger.

Cheers for looking.

Cheers Joe. I asked Paul if I would be able to go next year. This was his reply- 'Dad!, thanks for wanting to go but it is basically, late night drinking, late night camping, looooong days driving. So I doubt you would make it. It is what it say's on the tin. A Challenge'. With that I have resigned myself to be old and knackered.:(
