petermcleland 48
Here is my video of Echo performing aerobatics at McLeland Field. The display is very loosely based on my real life solo display but of course we had no ring of fire and I was not allowed to go this low so the resemblance is a bit faint! The video runs for about 18 minutes, is in HD and very suitable for Full Screen Mode. If you have a slowish Broadband which causes buffering pauses, click the Pause icon in the bottom left corner, then click the resolution up to 1080p...Now WAIT as the pink band moves from left to right, till it gets about halfway across. Now click that same Pause icon to start it running again and finally click the Full Screen icon at bottom right...It should now run through without further pausing. At the end you will see a "Replay" button...If you click that you will get an uninterupted full screen replay! Thanks for looking
mutley 4,498
Hi Peter, Great video! I had to look away a couple of times thinking you were not going to make it especially when the stall warning was going off! Echo is performing exceptionally well, that's an interesting departure and arrival manoeuvre :icon_thumbup:
petermcleland 48
Hi Peter, Great video! Echo is performing exceptionally well, that's an interesting departure and arrival manoeuvre :icon_thumbup: Thanks Joe...Yes, quite a lot of that display was flying "at the edge". The real Hunter had no stall warning beeper but it had a nice rumbling buffet to let you know when you were on the edge...Since this model doesn't have the buffet, I'm pleased that the beeper is there as a guide. The take-off through the hoop was the hardest to do...I crashed about seven or eight times before I succeeded! The landing through the hoop I did on first go with no problem but unlike with the previous go with the Vampire T11, I got the speed right and did not go off the end of the runway. The most difficult and really impossible shot was the loop passing through the hoop twice...I did not actually intend to do it but when the loop went so straight that I was in line for it, I just went for it. I rather expected it to crash but I missed the ground by a whisper :001_th_smiles89: The only time I have done that before was round a rather tall bridge with "Little Bandit". I am very impressed with the quality of YouTube HD videos and their Player...I use it in full screen and the instruments are very sharp and clear. I don't use the VC but I put that last run of the landing in VC for those that like these things...Comparing the 2D panel clip with the following VC clip just shows me why I never use the VC! BTW that video is just over 1 Gigabyte and took about eight hours to upload and process. Yet it streams beautifully if you use the above mentioned method...Trouble is that most people can't spare the time to watch a whole eighteen minutes of vid :o
mutley 4,498
I was very impressed with the quality, what format was the upload? avi, wmv ? I have recently had to upload several Gbs of video for young Jack, so I know how tedious it is waiting :001_th_smiles48: The video is worth watching to the end to see that landing but also it has a great air-show feel about it! Cheers
