Sabre 28
Just wondered if there is any recommended or essential reading for someone starting from the ground up. I've tried to find a copy of Microsofts guide but it doesn't seem to be available nor do I know if it is any good. I'm trying to work my way through the in game Learning Resource and various manuals, REX 2.0, Plan-G and what seems a rather limited guide on my new Carenado Caravan (I'd expected more information than I've found to date on this aircraft). I really would like to learn as much as possible about this simulator and how to maximise the enjoyment and realism. Are there any good tutorial resources available? YouTube has some videos but it takes forever to find anything half decent.

SEATAC 400
I don't know if this is what you're looking for, but it's an excellent book called "Microsoft Flight Simulator X For Pilots Real World Training". http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Flight-Simulator-Pilots-Training/dp/0764588222/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1308749026&sr=1-1 It's written by a couple of pilots and they teach you everything about flying using FSX. Navigating, NBD's, VOR's, ILS, the basics of flight starting with the Piper Cub all the way up to 747's. I found it to be extremely easy to follow and very informative. It includes flight plans and pre-loaded flights for each lesson. From the book description: "Get ready to take flight as two certified flight instructors guide you through the pilot ratings as it is done in the real world, starting with Sport Pilot training, then Private Pilot, followed by the Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot, and Air Transport Pilot. They cover the skills of flight, how to master Flight Simulator, and how to use the software as a learning tool towards your pilot’s license. More advanced topics demonstrate how Flight Simulator X can be used as a continuing learning tool and how to simulate real-world emergencies."

Gets some good reviews also.
