Adventures in Doris The Dornier

Recommended Posts

Well! I'm afraid that you have Sabre to blame for this as he's got me onto this style of showing screenshots as well.

First up is a flight I just made from Frankfurt-Hahn (EDFH) to Manston (EGMH).

It was a dawn take off, and hoped to get too Manson in time for breakfast.

The flight plan was easy, "airport to airport" with no messing about, although I did take a small diversion north when I was near Zeebrugge, Belgium so that I could say that I had been to Holland as well ;) .

Apart from some thick fog and cloud cover from the Rhineland to Belgium border area there were no major problems until I was on about to land at Manson, and the flaps got stuck at 15%, still managed to land in one piece, it just was not the most graceful landing that you have ever seen  .

So there you have it, Doris the Dornier manages to fly in five country's, gets me safely to my destination at Manston, and all before breakfast :).

(look at my GPS at about 1 min in, we did 3 countries in 5 minutes)

You only said that because you saw your name in the end credits :P:D (but seriously mate, thanks for all the tips you gave me about this :thum: )

Also, thanks for all the other comments Chaps, going to do another one in a few days when I have collected enough shots :)
