dodgy-alan 1,587
The Antonov AN-30 is a highly specialised version of the AN-24 transport aircraft. It has been optimised for Aerial survey/ cartography and ecological studies, It is also used as the Open Skies survey aircraft for the Russian government. the aircraft carries a raft of sensors and cameras depending on its tasking. Distinguished from its AN 24 ancestor by the revised nose area and the under fuselage camera and sensor pods, the AN 30 has a crew of 7 and is a flying laboratory inside. It also has a fully equipped galley and crew facilities for long mission endurance, It is a tough and reliable aircraft and althouh now quite old the work they do is still vitally important. just over 115 were built and most remain in service. top speed is 336 mph and service cieling 27,230ft, range is 1,634 miles.
