hurricanemk1c 195
Hi all! Welcome to this adventure. The title may not seem much, but when you plan to fly to the UK going west. Yep, west! So that's the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, continental America and Asia to fly over, all before flying across the North Sea! So, to start off, we 'borrowed' a Korean Air A380, to fly us from Dublin to Boston Logan. Here she is at the gate Pushing back Taxying out, but with a Ryanair 737 in front! And behind! A view from the office Tracking down 16 - ATC quite stupidly told me to take off from the second-shortest runway at Dublin, and all the heavies take off from 10/28 Turning onto 28 Powering up Rotating Gear up! Gear fully closed, bye bye Dublin! Beautiful sunrise My house is somewhere down there (I think) Still climbing Now settled into the cruise as we cross the west coast Streaking away Coming into American airspace now Going down All too soon the gear comes down over New York Airport in sight And from the pit Touchdown! Full reverse and brakes Taxying to the gate Racing a 757 from United into the gate Here's ours Turn... And parked up, all nice and relaxed Thanks for viewing. Leg 2 has been done, just need to find the time to write it up! Kieran

UKJim 502
brilliant - how long did the flight take? Did you do it one go? My favourite screenshot has to be the 'powering up' screeny - stunning
hurricanemk1c 195
Hi Jim! I did the flight in one go - it would have taken me about 7 hours if I had done it in real-time, but I sped it up so it only took around 2 Thanks for bringing this topic up - I really must update it!
