rob16584 42
Did anyone watch this on TV this week? Not sure if it was on Nat Geo or Discovery. It was 2 hours long and they recreated the bouncing bomb and destroying a Dam. It was superb, anyone with an interest in WWII would love it

ddavid 149
I only saw the youtube vids - they were absolutely amazing - wish I'd seen the whole prog... That's the trouble with not having a television set that works - on ours, the vertical hold knob fell off a few years ago! Cheers - Dai.

Tim_A 997
Was that the Buffalo one? If so, it was rather good, although it was some time ago that I saw it - back in the Spring I think.
ddavid 149
Buffalo Airways DC-4 piloted by a veteran - "Right On - Saigon!" - magic narrative from the cockpit on the final bomb run. Cheers - Dai.
PanzerFodder 0
I saw it last month and thought it was good, the pilots flying skills were brilliant Although, I did think that the dam they built was going to collapse before it ever got hit by the bomb! Cheer's...Graham... Wyatt 0
They blew a bouncing bomb? I thought the last time they did that was in the 40's?!
hurricanemk1c 195
They didn't actually blow it up I don't think - they dropped the bomb, it bounced, hit the wall then they used explosives outside the bomb to blow it up
allardjd 1,853
When it comes to TV shows, don't believe anything you hear and only half of what you see. John
