Got a couple of add-on packs at the JustFlight Connie sale, so here's a few shots that I made last night while I was playing about with them :)

Got to love the noise and smoke animation when you fire up the engines :)

Well, they generally have four props (the He-177 had two, but was four engined by have two 'handed' engines), they make a lot of noise and sometimes a lot of smoke! That's about my knowledge, execpt the many types with four engines....

Great shots Graham!

Brilliant shots graham, My favourite all time propliner, These are what you call "REAL" aeroplanes. When I grew up these were still a regular site at Heathrow, along with the DC-4/6/7 The Breguet Deux-Ponts, the occasional Boeing 377 Stratocruiser/C-97 and there were even still a few HP Hermes around, albeit no longer with BOAC but with charter companies. Another rarity was the Canadair Argonaut, A merlin engined deritive of the DC-4, origianlly used by BOAC but then used by the fledgeling British Midland Airways. Rarer still at heathrow was the Aviation Traders Carvair, again a DC-4 derived aircraft but with a new humped nose like a 747, this was for a nose door to load cars into the hold. They were flown by BUA. A wonderful time for aviation enthusiasts such as myself ( i was mad on planes almost as soon as I could pronounce the word according to my parents!) Sadly within a few years they had nearly all gone. The last regular service was TMA of lebanon flying their DC-7F out on a weekly cargo flight. We all mourned the passing of these wonderful machines, Thankfully Atlantic Airlines in Coventry keeps that dream alive here in the UK while in Canada you have the famous Buffalo Airways at Yellowknife.
