JohnL 13
Those pilots not already familiar with the lumpier bits of Scottish geography, and about to undertake leg 3 (VFR with a 3200ft cloudbase overcast) should be aware of the term "Munro". A "Munro" is a distinct Scottish summit over 3000ft amsl. There are 283 of them, and a further 227 "subsidiary tops" which are also above 3000ft amsl. Many "Munros" and "subsidiary tops" may be found either between Fife and Plockton, or Plockton and Baldoon. "Munro-bagging" is the pastime, mainly followed by climbers and walkers, of collecting "Munros". Doing it with an aeroplane is not normally recommended I just though some of you would like to know this....

CSoul 182
I quite enjoyed weaving through those munros. And it made me think: hopefully the MEBER 2013 will feature something seriously sadistic; like munro-bagging, in 1-mile visibility, while trying to land at a shortish field like Plockton. Now that would be fun. Or end up with a lot of pilots perched precariously on the hillsides!
