Its a shortish run for these big jets but the sheer number of passengers makes them ideal for the job.. On the gate at Jinnah Intnl at Karachi Taxying out..and trying not to run over local traffic!...........(now you know where Caption pic came from !) Lift off fully loaded with over 500 passengers. Rolling out onto her course, No need to ask where this bad boy comes from!! some time later and she's crossing the Saudi Arabian coast overflying the oil port of Ras Tanura, (a place I know all too well !) Getting a bit bumpy as she crosses the Arabian peninsular beginning the descent into Jeddah, the nearest major airport to Mecca...(and the worlds largest airport in fact.) Runway in sight Touching down in Jeddah....(another place I know well,It's got a fantastic market there !) on the ramp and the baggage trucks are quick to arrive Now where the hell are the stairs !! britfrog 180 Posted May 12, 2012 Report Share Posted May 12, 2012 If I remember rightly I read once that the record for one of these planes on this route was 680 passengers ! thats over 200 without seats and dont forget they all bring along their little camping gas fires and brew up tea mid flight in the ailes! it must be a nightmare for the crew. Having worked under rear ends of both PIA and Air India flights coming into LHR when I was on the coaches I have have often been close to the action when the "honey wagons" arrived to empty the toilets, the drivers hated doing these flights as apparently the smell was far worse than any other airline ! The model is indeed FS2004 and is the POSKY B747. If any0ne is interested there are lots of great liveries for PIA aircraft and their B777-300 is simply gorgeous. There is also PIA Virtual as well and this is supported by the airline itself ! I have lots of PIA aircraft in the hangar , including a Sikorsky S61N and a Twotter. I'd really reccomend you take a look at it. these are all freeware. just go onto Flightsim .com and type in PIA in your search box, you'll be amazed at whats out there this is the link to VPIA http://www.vpia.org/index.html The S61N the Twotter Airbus A310 My favourite of the fleet, the B773 See you in Karachi guys, BTW the Karachi airport scenery is also freeware !!
