The Firefly is a very special plane carrying a very special cargo. The Olympic flame which will herald the start of the 2012 Games in London....... Leaving the french coast Cornish coast ahead dropping down as she nears her destination the tower at Culdrose gets its first glimpse of the Firefly on final approach touchdown, an aircraft this size is a rare visitor to Culdrose. bringing the jet to a halt taxying in the waiting dignitaries look on as the Firefly comes in. doors open awaiting the stairs HRH Princess Anne, The Princess Royal emerges. the flame is lit by David Beckham the Olympic Flame has arrived The VIPs pat themselves on the back and tell themselves how wonderful they are!
