I've not flown with Air Hauler for a while and needed to reposition myself to one of my bases, 2WA1, in the hope of picking up some flights over the weekend.

Flight planning done for this short 50nm trip, the weather looked fine with a few showers in the area so I decided to take-off...

It was nice, calm and relaxing leaving Bellingham

Then some clouds started to form and a few flashes of lightning

A quick check on the weather radar confirmed my fears, a storm was brewing and very quickly

I was over half-way there so decided to push on and try to get ahead of the storm..it didn't work

Closing in on Diamond Point I dropped to just below the cloud level to try and see where I was going, thankfully my NDB navigation had put me more or less where I wanted to be

Finals to runway 29 is fun: hug the coast on the left and follow it round. When you pop out the other side you'll be lined up for landing

Parked up by the sheds. Might just sit here for a while until the rain eases off

Nice day for a storm. Great flight and storyboard. :thum: Not sure if I would fly into a storm that looked like that in RW situation but I am always looking for a nice storm to fly into in FSX. Always great fun. :)
