petermcleland 48
Continuing on to Port Bailey:- The moment of unstick on take-off from Port Williams...Still with some reflection in the water. Turning onto course for Port Bailey. This time the track lies over small mountains... ...and I'll go round them as necessary. Map reading is a bit strange in FLIGHT's map but I also use my iPad map for trying not to lose count of the watery inlets. Sometimes I just need to weave a bit to avoid climbing. Here is the touchdown at Port Bailey, landing into wind... ...which means the long downwind taxy back in my own spray. Here is one of those port structures again... ...and here is a real life view by Google...So MS got the shape right and it would be nice to build on later. I tried shutting down the engine in the port harbour, but the wind was blowing me towards the wall. So I beached and taxied into here. I also went for a walk along the gravel path and took this shot looking back towards the aeroplane. I'll spend the night here before moving on to the next SPB.
