AAD 2012 Part 2

Second part of the shots I took.

SAAF Augusta A109.

SAAF Hawk. I was lucky enough to get two other aircraft in shot, a Hawk and Gripen going at it in a mock dogfight.

An SAAF Gripen. This was the best shot I could come up as all the SAAF aircraft were constantly swamped by people hanging over the railings. I'm always amazed by how small this aircraft looks in real life; when you stand close to it it is tiny.

Former SAAF Atlas Impala.

From the front.

Quest Kodiak.

And next to it...

And I'm not sure what this is. Thought it was a Cessna 208, but must be a newer one as they had an older, blockier Caravan elsewhere.

SAAB 340 Maritime Patrol

And from the front.

ATR 600

USAF KC-135

USAF C-17

A P-51 Mustang. For me this was the highlight of the static display aircraft, although I did see this one fly at the Swartkops Air Show earlier in the year.

Another shot.

22092012072.jpg?gl=ZA

And another. That girl posed for the entire time I was there. She was rather popular among the men. ;)

22092012092.jpg?gl=ZA

Final shot. And here we can see why she was popular. :D As for me, I kept wondering if she wasn't getting cold, as it was a touch nippy to be wearing that.

22092012090.jpg?gl=ZA

Finally, a Pilatus PC-7 MK II.

22092012062.jpg?gl=ZA

Oops, almost forgot. Old SAA DC-4.

22092012091.jpg?gl=ZA

And from behind, its sister aircraft, with the above one just behind it.
