But just in case Aliied fighters still maintain their patrols, .......... Parked on the dispersal, all seems quiet. Soon it will be too dark for Dayfighters. Suddenly, ..Scramble possible enemy incursion across the channel, Starting the engines Taxying out Off into the evening skies along the French Coast climbing up to 25,000 ft heading along the coast of Essex as the sun gets ever lower, No sign of the intruder. Instructed to land at RAF Martlesham heath in Suffolk, the Lightning turns towards her new destination lining up for Martlesham, dropping the gear and slowing down on finals, the flarepath lights up as a welcome rolling out Parked among the resident P51 Mustangs thanks for viewing Link to post Share on other sites
