allardjd 1,853
You have to say one thing for the Third Reich, whether you liked their politics or not, they made some cool looking toys. John
dodgy-alan 1,587
They certainly did, Sitting in the blocks waiting to be built is the coolest of the lot, ...the Awesome Panzer VI.....better known as the Tiger! even the box is enormous! German armour was years ahead of anything the Allies had in WW2, that was until they met the T-34 ! It was one hell of a shock for them, but they quickly countered it with the Panther and the Tiger. The Panther was the better tank though as it had sloping armour and was more manoevrable. However the Tigers strength was it's 88mm gun and incredibly thick armour., It was however slower than the Panther and more prone to engine fires for some reason. It became the most feared weapon of WW2, especially to the allied ground troops that were up against it! It took an American tank fitted with a British 76mm gun to finally beat it, the Sherman Firefly. A compromise, but one that worked.
rosariomanzo 545
The MkIV has been my first german tank. But my preferred Tamiya model was the Krupp Protze, will we ever see your version one day Al?

If I recall correctly that was a small 6x6 chassis fitted with a variety of different bodies depending on its role. I think I have a couple in 1/72 scale but not in the 1/35 scale stuff.
