dodgy-alan 1,587
RMS Titanic, This beautiful ship went to a watery grave on April-15-1912 after hitting an iceberg on her maiden voyage. The story is well documented and needs no further input from me. The Model is Freeware for FSX but works equally as well in FS9. It's by Mitsuya Hamaguchi (Hama) and is a well detailed model of this famous ship. Going down The Solent out of Southampton Heading out into the English Channel, the Needles Rocks just visible near the bow Off the coast of Cornwall Close up of the deck detail, sadly like all of Hamas ship models , there are no water effects. Off the Scilly Isles The view from the helm Leaving Ireland, "Take her to sea Mr Murdoch." The final sunset Watching the sun from the Starboard Wing the Stbd promenade deck. at night the ship looks magical View from the bridge at night. At sea the stars seem a lot brighter as there is a total lack of light polution. The ship of dreams heads out towards her fate Thanks for viewing this is the link to the model; fsxttnic.zip

Captain Caveman 0
Maybe this time she'll make it to her destination Alan? Keep an eye open for that pesky iceberg! Glen
brett 2,315
Nice series of shots of this grand looking ship. I downloaded it but have not installed/tested it yet. It does have the correct entry in the config file for producing a wake, [EFFECTS]wake=fx_wake_llwater=fx_spray_tdirt=fx_tchdrtconcrete=fx_sparkstouchdown=fx_tchdwn, 1 and also comes with an effects folder with it's own wake effect(fx_wake_ll) . Did you install the effects from that folder or is it because it's an FSX model and your running it in FS9? Will have to let you know what I end up with.
dodgy-alan 1,587
That could be the reason Brett, if it's something in the config file then I've no idea how you modify it. Remember if you load this at an airport, even a coastal one, you need to slew it to an open water area and whilst in slew mode press "A" so that it drops to sea level otherwise it will crash if you try to drop it into the sea from any height! (this same advice applies to all ships and flying boats of course)
brett 2,315
I do not have FS2004 but I would guess there is a folder for the effects to go in. The config file is already good to go, as is, for FSX.
