St. Vincent to Trinidad

Recommended Posts

Continuing my trek through the Caribbean, today's flight takes us from E.T. Joshua Airport in St. Vincent & The Grenadines to Piarco International Airport in Port of Spain, Trinidad.

The aircraft for today's flight is the Morane Saulnier MS.760 Paris jet, courtesy of TIm Piglet Conrad.

E.T. Joshua Airport is located on the island of St. Vincent.  The island was spotted by Christopher Columbus during his third voyage in 1498.  Airport scenery is provided courtesy of JL Valladier.

Super set! interesting engine config on this one. I like the one showing the bugger' red buttocks.

Thanks Dorel,

It's an unusal aircraft.  Twin engine but very slow to respond to the throttles.  Takes quite a while to spool those puppies up. But once they get going she'll hit 351 knots.

She's also a bit squirrely in flight and when you drop those flaps a notch or two, the speed will bleed off like crazy.

when I was a nipper we were based for a while in st vincent however there was no airport then just a seaplane base which we lived next to,

That sounds like it would have been really cool.
