Just (1910 hrs, BST) tried to get onto Avsim and got this message:

We have taken AVSIM off line temporarily to perform system modifications to allow faster response during the forthcoming release of the PMDG T7. Please be patient. We do not expect to be off line for more than two hours. If something happens to extend that period, we will post an update which you can view here.

Hmm.....   :)

Cheers,

Brian

Then the world is your oyster, you'll be wanting my photo-scenery then want you?  Did you see New York in screenshots?  It's a FPS killer so I am going for this

<grin> Seemingly so.....   :P

AND YET....

PMDG have been known to do setup operations well in advance of the actual launch itself.

"It ain't over 'til the fat lady sings", and so far it's still a bit quiet.....     ;)

Er, well, the jury's still out on that one, too.   :D   But I do like Overclockers' bundles, it's true.....

Cheers,

Brian

Hey Jim, that baby looks like it could run a car at 0-60 in 5GHz seconds. :D Good luck with it.

Is AVSIM preforming system modifications to speed up service or faster deletions? :P Only kidding, it sounds like quite a celebration is in store once they finally release it. I'm starting to wonder who is Not going to buy it. I wonder how long download times are going to be on that day. :)

Why bother with the expense ? you can run the 2600k all day long at 4,80ghz if you use 1.38 volts and you wont see the difference in speed

back on subject the word from the man is that it will be released within the next 7 days providing no last minute snags are found, the odds are saying it will be this weekend when internet traffic is lower

Sure enough, they're just getting their ducks in a row, so to speak. But that's encouraging in itself.

> "....when internet traffic is lower..."

Well, with the very conspicuous exception of the PMDG servers, that is!

It gives a whole new meaning to the expression "hot standby".   :dance3:

Thanks BF, I am already Oc'ed to 4.4GHz, so maybe a little more coal on the fire may save me the money.  Thank you..

It's the New York scenery that is playing up (very hard on the system) down to 6 FPS if I am down low, mind that's Manhattan itself only.  The reason I got it, is they are doing the

Airports of New York, the best I have ever seen so far.  I wanna make Brian wanna buy it (or laugh) on seeing my 777 landing's into JFK :whis:   But only if I can get the FPS acceptable at

LaGuardia and JFK would I then recommend.  Have finished loading the MegaSceneryEarth onto the system and enjoying the flights a lot better.  I crashed FSX off the 'C' drive

and placed it on it's lonesome jack on it's own drive, the MSE is also on it's own drive (79MB) free left on a 1TB drive??  But the result is very smooth flying at any altitude.  That's

11 of the Western States of the USA.  At the moment that's where I am staying in MSE, the rest of the States is in FTXG.  Will place Horizon UK with UK2000 for home and then

maybe indulge in some VFR France.  What region is the YT video?

So thank you for the suggestion to increase the volts, will let you know.  So carry on with the ablutions, the Sgt-Major will be doing a inspection this afternoon at 3.30..  :thum:
