mutley 4,498
I picked up a copy of AeroflyFS from Just Flight yesterday who are selling it at nearly 20% off via Steam (£24.95) (I hate Steam.. Grrr..)A very enjoyable waste of time, quite good flight dynamics but woefully short of the features we take for granted from FSX. I much prefer it over X-Plane, the graphics are great and it is simple to set up. Here are a few randoms Cheers, Joe
hifly 925
Looks pretty good but then. Do I need another flight sim? Barely get time or have the energy left at the end of the day for FSX, I get home and it's PS I hate Steam too.
britfrog 180
whilst I accept it isnt as all encompassing as FSX with all its add ons i have to say that the scenery in those pics looks as good if not better than anything one can get for FSX. the mountains seem to be a bit more 3d ish if that makes sense, or maybe a bit better depth of field, whatever, I do hope they continue to develop this sim it has better potential imho than x plane with a much smaller dev team. what is Steam for the unitiated????? hifly 925
Steam is a company that sells lots of shoot em up games. When I picked up... erm er ... Rail Simulator 2013 cheap, I found that I had to register with Steam who bombard me with updates about their bloody games. It's intrusive marketing and there should be a warning on the the packaging about the need to register with another party. I also find their website user unfriendly. Wadda you think Joe? If it's printable. Cheers.
jnc1 0
Looks good Joe. Bought this just last week and I agree it's very limited. Having said that, what it does do, it does very well. If they keep on with the development I'm sure it could be a very useful sim. I took a few shots the other day, I might post them later.
mutley 4,498
Hey John, please post them, I am sure you will have us all drooling. This sim is very pleasant to use, it is limited to switzerland and as you can see the graphics are great, it's all very smooth, it's like taking a day off from some of the frustrations and stress you get from FSX! Just Flight are going to have the Archer III and the Duchess on release soon, it would be good to have the twin as there's nothing like that yet. A nice diversion when you fancy a change. Thanks for your comments PS Geoff, 100% agree about Steam, there will be a boxed version available from JF soon that may be a better option.
rosariomanzo 545
The landscape is breathtaking. Thanks for sharing, Joe.
phil white 274
Looks pretty good. I see that you get good frame rates too going by the figures in the lower right corner of the screenshots.
mutley 4,498
Hi Phil, Yes the FPS was good and the action was remarkably sooth, I could not find how to switch that overlay off, and it has to be said, there is not that much autogen, just the trees so you can understand why it is so good.
