britfrog 180
an Interesting video, which gives you a good idea of how a real cat 111 landing can be I take it that the Jessica mentioned in the commentary is the same one that contributes to mutleys from time to time? I do wish I could get fog like that in my sim
mutley 4,498
What a relief to see those numbers! That was indeed our Jess, I recognise her voice.
hifly 925
I do wish I could get fog like that in my sim Try smoking a cigar or a pipe and exhaling on the screen. But then if you are going to autoland you might as well go and make a coffee/wash hair/tidy the shed,,,
Jess-b 420
Hey guys. Indeed the Jessica in the video is me, and you can here me throughout the video. For the record, whist froogle let the ngx take the strain, I flew a manual approach, at night ( the correct time). Also whist the three of us performed landings at Portland, in real life, the airport was closed to all traffic due to the weather. Best wishes, Jess B

brett 2,315
I have landed in some thick stuff but that takes the cake. You couldn't even see the glow from the airport lights. The biggest feat had to of been the 36 hour flight.
Jess-b 420
Iirc Brett, I think I'd flown the previous leg of that flight at 03:00z before finishing the whole trip with everyone. So this flight into Portland was my sixth in 24 hours. (When I flew into Las Vegas, I as so tired I landed heavily on the wrong runway.). Best of all, we may do the whole thing again next January. Jess-b 420
For myself it was curtesy of Rex essentials. I believe activesky is the one used in the video though.
needles 1,013
Superb stuff Jess. I wasn't sure Peter was going to ever land it was that thick. When the numbers appeared, he must have let out a huge sigh of relief. Great to see you back my friend.
