Flightbeam KIAD (Dulles)

Recommended Posts

Flightbeam have not long released Dulles Airport.

Although a Washington DC airport, it is actually located in Virginia in the suburbs of Southbridge.

To date KIAD has to be about the finest modelled airport for FSX.  It includes all interior fittings and the glass reflects perfectly as you move by.

So a little taster of what I will show over the coming weeks.

But first, I seemed to be followed by a chase plane on my landing onto 1R at KIAD.

Night views are amazing with the ability to see into the building:

This dusk view shows the amount of detail gone into this project including the unique moving lounges:

This departure view shows some of the extent that the modelled area covers:

I will bring some more gems as I capture the other interesting area's..

Ah, an airport I know well (RW), including the "unique moving lounges". I have to say that in your great shots it looks very much as though it's had the Flightbeam treatment.   :)

Thank you James: I fear I may have to get this one......

Cheers,

Bruce

Superb screens.

I'm downloading the demo currently, thanks to your showcase.

:thum:

The demo only works for 5 minutes, but will give you a taster.

Re-boot after you install or the buildings will take ages to appear..

Enjoy..  :pilotic:

Looks really good, I might have to jump on the bandwagon and get it too. Thanks for the preview James. :thum:

I have flown in/out of there a few times, way back when, and remember the large transport buses taking you to and from the plane, pretty cool really.  I liked the airport although it was surprising small considering how busy it is. The worst thing was the beltway traffic you needed to traverse to get there, for realism turn your road traffic to 100%. :D
