Winter Recce flight.

Recommended Posts

On Germanys Eastern front in 1943 and one of the few Blohm and Voss BV141s is on a recce flight  looking for Russian incursions. Very few of these aircraft were built as the contract for production went to the more conventional FW189. Also there was a shortage of the BMW-801 engines and those were also needed for the FW190 fighters. It was however a very good aircraft and did exactly what it was designed to do. Political manipulation by Focke-Wulfs team made sure that the BV141 remained an also-ran!
